Good questions
No. VetCheck is a decision-support tool for pet owners. It helps assess urgency and prepare for care, but it does not diagnose, prescribe medication, or replace an examination by a licensed veterinarian.
We plan to begin with common household pets, starting with cats and dogs. Additional species support will be introduced only when the guidance can meet the same safety standard.
VetCheck can identify signs that warrant urgent care and help you find an appropriate clinic. It should not delay contacting emergency services when severe warning signs are already present.
You’ll be able to add relevant photos—for example, a visible skin change, eye irritation, vomit, stool, or an injury—alongside your written observations. VetCheck will never rely on an image alone.
